NEW YORK CITY—RFR Realty has signed two renewal agreements—with one including an expansion that nearly doubles a firm's space—at 17 State St. in Lower Manhattan.
IPsoft, a software company, renewed its commitment to the 42-story tower while growing its space from 56,000 to 97,955 square feet.
IPsoft took floors 9-15 as well as floor 17 at the building, which has drawn interest from financial services, legal and tech tenants. Cushman & Wakefield's Robert Lowe represented IPsoft in the deal. Steve Morrows, leasing director at RFR, represented the real estate firm in-house, along with RFR VP AJ Camhi and assistant VP Ryan Silverman.
Meanwhile, a 23,033-square-foot lease renewal at the building was signed by New Jersey-based law firm Bressler, Amery & Ross. An RFR spokesperson declined to reveal to GlobeSt.com the duration of either lease.
“17 State Street continues to draw a mix of technology and legal firms Downtown,” says Morrows. “We welcome IPSoft's continued commitment to our building and are thrilled to watch them prosper as a company.” Jones Lang LaSalle's Lisa Kiell and John Moxley represented the tenant. RFR again was represented by Morrows, Camhi and Silverman.
Situated at the corner of State and Pearl streets across from Battery Park, 17 State Street offers access to multiple modes of transportation. The property is close to multiple subway lines, ferries to Staten Island and New Jersey, the New York Water Taxi and the Downtown Heliport.
“The quality of 17 State Street has helped it to persevere through all the changes that have occurred Downtown,” adds Morrows. “It remains a standout in this revitalized district.”
