FAIRFAX, VA—The three-tower Westpark Plaza project has secured the approval of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.

The Board approved the Tysons project at its session on Tuesday. The Westpark Plaza project calls for 1.4 million square feet of development in three tower buildings. The Dittmar Co.'s redevelopment of the closed Westpark Hotel property will feature more than 1,300 residential units and a hotel at full build-out.

The first phase of Westpark Plaza will entail a single residential tower rising as high as 31 stories, with up to 610 residential units and 13,500 square feet of retail, according to the Washington Business Journal.

A second residential tower of more than 700 units would be part of a second phase. The last building to be developed would be a 200-250 room hotel. All three towers will be built on top of a five-story underground parking garage. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
