LAWRENCEVILLE, GA—French firm Skipper Logistics has established its first US location in this Atlanta suburb.
The company leased 66,150 square feet of industrial space at 753 Winer Industrial Way. The deal was announced by brokerage firm CBRE Group. David Nixon, senior vice president, and Chad Burd, first vice president, from CBRE Atlanta, represented Skipper Logistics, a 40-year old company with eight locations in France. Lavista Associates represented the building owner in the transaction.
“Skipper Logistics decided it was time for a U.S. counterpart location,” Nixon says. “They wanted a location in which they would have the ability to service an existing client and leverage their international capabilities for other French oriented clients. Skipper anticipates the Atlanta and United States markets to provide an accelerated growth base. Lawrenceville was the ideal location for their flagship American location, as Lawrenceville offers excellent access to all of Metro Atlanta, and two-day service to most of the United States.
Nixon and Burd also represented an unnamed supply chain management company in a 378,733-square-foot lease with Pattillo Industrial Real Estate at 874 Thomas Parkway in Jackson, Ga. The facility is a 141,000-square-foot building currently under construction. The tenant is an East Coast medical products distribution firm.
