WASHINGTON, DC—Outdoor retailer REI is reportedly considering leasing space on the ground floor of Douglas Development's Uline Arena property.
Douglas Development senior vice president Norman Jemal says REI is mulling locating a store at the property at 1140 Third St. NE but has not officially committed to leasing space there, according to the Washington Business Journal.
Douglas Development plans to renovate the arena that will when compleed feature approximately 70,000 square feet of retail space and 174,000 square feet of office space.
"We've begun the project and we are very excited about the neighborhood and what's happening around it in NoMa and H Street corridor," Jemal says. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
