MIAMI—After acquiring the 145,454-square-foot office building earlier this year, Miami Lakes Center has picked CBRE to help it fill the space at 5875 Building. Located at 5875 Northwest 163rd Street in Miami Lakes, the two-story building has about 100,000 square feet of contiguous space to lease.

“This is an ideal location for an operations center or call center,” CBRE's Maggie Guajardo Kurtz tells GlobeSt.com. “There are not too many buildings in Miami that can handle the parking required and have the capacity to keep operations ongoing during a hurricane or other power-outage event.”

5875 Building is positioning itself for success. The asset is undergoing capital improvements, including new landscaping, lobby, and restroom renovations and upgrades to common areas.

“With ownership's commitment to further enhancing the building's infrastructure and capital improvement program underway, the 5875 Building should be considered a serious contender for all tenants wanting class A office space with superior access to Dade and Broward counties,” says Kurtz. The office building sits on 19/71 acres of land and offers visibility from and access to Palmetto Expressway.

Miami's office market has strengthened in 2014. Blanca Commercial Real Estate, Andres del Corral, tells GlobeSt.com new office project being developed as market fundamentals continue to improve.

“In the continued population growth and foreign investment, the market will continue to grow,” he says. “In the far future, I hope the Southeast market will consist of clean urban centers that are friendly to the environment, efficient for businesses, and comfortable to live in.”
