Colliers Indiana Adds Principals

INDIANAPOLIS—Colliers International | Indiana Region has just added two new principals. Beth Patterson and Jeff Merritt have joined the six other principals of the locally-owned firm which now has 51 employees.

Patterson joined the firm in August 2011 as senior vice president and director of retail services. She has 15 years of retail real estate experience and has handled shopping center project leasing, development and land sale services for developers and land owners, as well as site selection for end-users. Prior to joining Colliers, she worked with Kite Realty Group and owned her own brokerage company.

Colliers recently named Patterson its national retail chair as one of 12 regional market leaders across the nation. She also participates in the company's retail steering committee.

“I truly value the Colliers platform and have benefitted from my participation in the national retail leadership,” she says. “I also look forward to working with the other principals as we continue to grow our Indiana office.”

Merritt joined the regional office in February of 2013 as vice president of commercial services. The life-long resident of the Indianapolis area was once the president of a regional travel company with 42 locations. After 23 years in the travel industry and 7 years in commercial real estate, he says that he brings the perspective of a business owner, which helps him understand clients seeking assistance with buying and selling property.

“I have always liked being a part of something bigger than myself, so becoming a principal is a natural progression of my role in the Indiana Region office,” he adds. “One of our main goals for the coming year, in addition to growing organically, is to grow the company by recruiting top performing individuals who fit well into our culture and profession.”
