ARLINGTON, VA—Victor Hoskins, who has held key economic development-related positions in the District and in Prince George's County, has been appointed economic development director for Arlington County.
Hoskins will be the permanent replacement for Terry Holzheimer, who passed away in March. Holzheimer had served as economic development director for Arlington County for almost 20 years, according to the Washington Business Journal.
"Victor will bring a wealth of experience, creativity and dynamism to our team," says Arlington county manager Barbara Donnellan. "He will be leading AED at a time of increased challenges and opportunities for Arlington."
The new job will involve just a 10-minute commute for the Georgetown-area resident. Most recently, Hoskins had served for about six months as an economic development aide to Prince George's county executive Rushern Baker. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
