GREENBELT, MD—ROSS Cos. has been tapped by Berman Enterprises to provide property management services for Glen Oaks Apartments.
Earlier this month we reported that the 463-unit apartment building traded for $73.5 million, or $158,747 per unit. The new owner was unclear; the buyer had registered as BE Glen Oaks LLC, a limited liability company formed in October 2014 in Delaware.
ROSS Cos. had managed Glen Oaks when it was owned by a JV between ROSS Development and Investment and Rockwood Capital.
"Over the last few years, ROSS has worked creatively at Glen Oaks Apartments, implementing cost-effective techniques and applying experienced hands-on management to increase occupancy and maintain market appropriate rents in a capital constrained environment," said ROSS COO, David J. Miskovich, in a prepared statement.
Based in Rockville, MD, Berman Enterprises had largely limited it activities to the Washington DC area. It owns 312 Marshall Ave. and 8101 Sandy Spring Rd. in Laurel, MD; 4600 Powder Mill Rd. in Beltsville, MD and 10021 Balls Ford Rd. in Manassas, VA. More recently, though, it has acquired assets in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Florida including Downtown at the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, FLA.
