Though it lives in the shadow of the Big Apple, New Jersey's commercial real estate market is a force to be reckoned with. Be it the urban areas along the Gold Coast, the sprawling suburbs farther inland or the massive industrial parks to the south, properties are being traded and leases are being signed every day in the Garden State. That's kept New Jersey's leasing and sales brokers busy over the past year, judging by their numbers. The editors of Real Estate Forum assessed the brokers who made these deals happen to determine the most active dealmakers in the state, presented here in alphabetical order.
METHODOLOGY: Deal information is for commissionable transactions closed in New Jersey between August 1, 2013 and July 31, 2014, and all data shown has been supplied and verified by the companies themselves. Leasing brokers were given scores based on the total number of transactions they closed, the total square footage of all transactions and the total value of all transactions. The final score was based on the average of the three fields. Sales brokers were given scores based on the total number of transactions they closed and the total value of all transactions. The final score was based on the average of those two fields.
