BRIDGEPORT, CT—Two new lease transactions and one renewal totaling 53,352 square feet have been signed at The Hampshire Companies' 1000 Lafayette Blvd. office building.
The Morristown, NJ-based real estate investment firm reports that global workplace provider Regus has leased the entire top floor of the 11-story building. The Regus space, which also includes the building's penthouse suite, totals 15,377 square feet.
Also new to the property's tenant roster is the Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging, a private, not-for-profit corporation that serves as a funding source for the elderly in Southwestern Connecticut. The agency signed on for 14,500 square feet, taking over half of the ninth floor of the building.
Rounding out its recent lease deals, Citizens Bank renewed its lease for 23,475-square feet at 1000 Lafayette Blvd.

Michael Marcante and Penny Wickey of Saugatuck Commercial represented The Hampshire Companies in the transactions with both Citizens Bank and SWCAA. Steven K. Greenbush, senior vice president in CBRE's Stamford, CT office represented Citizens Bank and Randy Vidal of Vidal/Wettenstein, LLC represented SWCAA in the respective transactions. Greenbush also represented The Hampshire Companies in its transaction with Regus where Colin Reilly, senior vice president in CBRE's Stamford, CT represented the tenant.
