DENVER—Avison Young has hired three veterans—David Hurtado, Kortney Pedigo and Dawn McCombs—in its Denver office.
Alec Wynne, principal and managing director of the Denver office, made the announcement this week.
Effective immediately, Hurtado becomes a principal, while Pedigo will serve as a project manager and McCombs as a senior vice president. Hurtado and Pedigo will work as a team to deliver project management services to their broad list of Denver and national clients. Prior to joining Avison Young, Hurtado and Pedigo worked together at Hurtado Consulting Group, LLC in Denver. Hurtado served as a Principal while Pedigo was one of the firm's project managers. McCombs joins Avison Young from Jones Lang LaSalle in Denver, where she was a vice president. She will continue to focus on industrial brokerage at Avison Young.
Hurtado, Pedigo and McCombs together bring nearly 60 years of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young, primarily in the Denver area.
“We are thrilled to have David Hurtado join the Denver office,” comments Wynne. “David is considered one of the top project managers in the Denver metropolitan area. With more than 30 years of industry experience, he brings not only a wealth of project management experience, but also 18 years of corporate real estate experience, having served as managing director of real estate and airport development for Federal Express. David's integrity and client-centric focus provide a perfect match to the growing team in Denver. He and Kortney Pedigo were part of a leading project management company within the metro area, and they will be of great benefit to owners and developers who are expanding their businesses in our region.”
Wynne continues: “Dawn McCombs brings energy and a singular focus on the industrial brokerage service line, where she specializes in the construction industry. She has been a rising star in Denver for the past five years, and we are pleased to have been able to attract her to our firm. We look forward to her leadership in industrial brokerage services.”
Avison Young opened its Denver office in December 2012 and has expanded it steadily since then. With today's three additions, says Wynne, the firm is poised to make a dent in the Denver real estate development market while expanding its industrial brokerage and project management services.
“We are excited to be part of the Avison Young team and look forward to continuing to deliver best-in-class project management services to our clients,” says Hurtado. “Avison Young's collaborative culture, Principal-led ownership model and service delivery expectations are a perfect fit for us.”
Over the past six years, Avison Young has grown from 11 to 62 offices and from 300 to more than 1,700 real estate professionals in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
