PLANO, Tex.--Four local retailers are set to open on the ground floor of the new Junction 15, a luxury-living community located in the historic downtown area of Plano. 7-Eleven and Paws Dog Barkery are currently open; The Day Spa and a bakery called Amazeballz are expected to open in early 2015. A fifth retailer will soon be joining Junction 15 and will be announced early this year.

"Each of the retailers we have secured so far aligns directly with our vision for Junction 15 as a community, as well as the city of Plano's vision for the downtown area,” Paul Neuroth, senior vice president of retail leasing for Southern Land Co., told GlobeSt.com. “The goal is to offer convenience, which will preserve the walkability and increase vibrancy of the area."

Southern Land, the developer of Junction 15, has also developed other Dallas-area properties including The Lofts at Watters Creek (Allen), Art House (Keller) and Tucker Hill (McKinney).

Junction 15 will be anchored by a 3,000-square-foot 7-Eleven convenience store. Paws Dog Barkery is a family-owned dog boutique that sells food, toys, chews, and many other items for pets. It will occupy approximately 1,374 square feet. A nail, massage and skin-care salon, The Day Spa, will fill a 1,456-square-foot space in Junction 15. The 10-year-old company currently has locations across the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Jared Caplan of Key Sites Inc. served as the outside broker for The Day Spa's new space in Junction 15. Amazeballz is a cake-ball bakery offering bite-size treats. Andy Anderson of Anderson Commercial Real Estate Services Inc. served as the outside broker for the 1,028-square-foot space.

“This community is the perfect complement to the recent investments we have made into downtown Plano. The ground floor shops add to the great walkable, retail atmosphere of the area, which we have worked hard to preserve,” says Frank Turner, deputy city manager for the city of Plano.

The official grand opening will be held on Jan. 27.
