NEW YORK CITY—Real estate development and finance firm Greystone has hired former Extell Development Co. project manager Raphael Inzlicht as vice president of development.
While at Extell, Inzlicht played an integral role on high-profile Manhattan projects such as One57 / Park Hyatt Hotel, Hyatt Times Square, and Cambria Suites in Midtown, Greystone states. He also managed the development of a residential tower in the Flatiron District for which he successfully obtained Landmarks and DOB approvals in time for the 421-A tax abatement deadline.
Based in Greystone's New York headquarters, Inzlicht now reports directly to Thomas Ryan, senior vice president of development. He will be tasked with leading new ground-up construction projects in the five boroughs for Greystone.
During his more than seven years at Extell, Inzlicht also built the company's hotel development business and managed project consultants while developing plans, negotiating contracts, obtaining environmental, city and state approvals, and orchestrating the purchase and installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment and operating supplies and equipment for the hotel projects.
“Raphael's experience with NYC's Landmarks and 421-A processes will be invaluable to our growing property development team,” says Jeffrey Simpson, head of Greystone's property development group. “As we look to tackle new challenges across the five boroughs, I know Raphael's input and leadership will be integral to Greystone's success in property development.”
