WASHINGTON, DC—The Hill Group's plan to relocate operations from Maryland to a narrow downtown DC lot has recently been approved by the Board of Zoning Adjustments.

The board approved Hill's plan to build a 10-story Class B building that will be only 25 feet wide and 50 feet deep at a session on Jan. 6, according to the Washington Business Journal. The property to be built at 1017 12th St. NW will house Hill Group's 70-worker corporate headquarters workforce.

"No one can question how truly unique this particular property is," Lloyd Jordan, the BZA chairman, says.

The lot, acquired by Hill in late 2012 for $2.13 million, is currently home to a commercial building that dates back more than 150 years. The company is currently headquartered at 6903 Rockledge Drive in Bethesda. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
