PHILADELPHIA—Following in the footsteps of the Philadelphia 76ers and the Philadelphia Flyers, another sport franchise is moving its corporate offices outside of the city.
The Arena Football League's Philadelphia Soul says it is relocating its corporate offices from Center City to 4 Echelon Plaza on Laurel Road in Voorhees, NJ. Soul majority owner Craig Spencer owns both the Center City property and its new building in Voorhees. The team maintains its practice facility in at the Nexxt Level Sports Coliseum in Voorhees. The Soul will continue to play its home games at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Flyers have its headquarters in Voorhees, while the Philadelphia 76ers are in the process of building a campus to house its team offices and practice facility in Camden, NJ, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
"We are more than just a Philadelphia team, we are also a South Jersey team," states Ron Jaworski, a co-majority owner of the Soul and an ESPN analyst. "We hope to do our part in supporting economic growth to the area and local businesses.
