MIAMI—Real estate firm Taylor & Mathis of Florida reports it has won four “The Office Building of the Year” awards from the Miami-Dade chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association.
Taylor & Mathis received awards in all four of the categories in which it was nominated. All of the recipients are multi-year award winners and will go on to compete in the regional competition this April in Tulsa, OK. BOMA held its 27th annual award program January 30th at the Trump Doral Resort in Miami.
“Our management and building operation staffs are the true award winners. As are the property owners whose financial commitment ensures the buildings operate at peak levels,” says Marlene Diaz, Taylor & Mathis' director of operations. “The level of dedication these individuals and our entire South Florida team puts into the properties is immeasurable. They are an amazing group of people. With these awards they have been distinguished by their industry peers for management excellence—winning these awards not once or twice but up to eight times.”
Taylor & Mathis senior property manager Peter Romero won three 2014 Building of the Year awards for: Dominion Partners' 404 Washington in Miami Beach in the Under 100,000-Square-Foot Building category; for MetLife's 6100/6303 Waterford in Miami in the Suburban Office Low Rise category and for MetLife's 6505 Waterford in Miami in the Corporate Facility category. Lisa Mitchell, senior property manager at Taylor & Mathis, earned a TOBY award for 355 Alhambra in Coral Gables in the 100,000 to 249,999-Square-Foot Building category. The property is owned by CPT 355 Alhambra Circle LLC.
