ARLINGTON, VA—The Arlington County Board is expected to review on Saturday a new major mixed-use project by Atlanta-based Gables Residential in the city's Route 50 corridor Courthouse area.

The Gables North Rolf Street calls for the development of a three-building, 391,000-square-foot development in the Radnor Fort Myers Heights neighborhood, according to the Washington Business Journal.

Specifically, the plan features 395 residential units, 14 transitional units (to be owned and operated by Arlington County) and approximately 1,000 square feet of neighborhood retail.

The more than two-acre site currently is the home of seven single-family homes, an apartment building, a condo building and Independence House, an Arlington-owned transitional living facility.

Arlington County owns three parcels on the development site that would be transferred to Gables Residential in return for the construction of the new Independence House building. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
