NEW YORK CITY—Surrounded by ice skaters and a backdrop of illuminated ice sculptures representing New York City landmarks, the MBAofNY last week welcomed members and guests to its Winter Soiree.
More than 160 industry professionals gathered to network and catch up with colleagues at Celsius in the winter village at Bryant Park. The event created a forum to talk about the opportunities and challenges in the current real estate market as 2015 unfolds. With professionals from so many facets of the New York real estate industry assembled in one space, there was plenty of deal talk.
Several of the MBA's student members attended the event as well, providing them a chance to meet some of the industry executives they might soon work with—or for—and to hear in “real time” what is happening in New York real estate.
Fred McDonald, MBA of NY's president summed up the evening when he said: “We thought this would be the perfect setting for our members and their guests to kick off 2015 with a festive networking event, bringing together so many of the varied professions that make the New York real estate market work.”
