PHILADELPHIA—The Sigma Sound Studios building here that produced such Disco favorites as “Disco Inferno,” “Macho Man” and “When Will I See You Again” has been sold to an investment partnership that plans to convert the 12th Street building into residential use.

The 13,858-square-foot building at 210-214 N. 12th St. in Philadelphia was acquired by investment partnership 210 North 12th Street Investments L.L.C. and 212 North 12th Street Investments L.L.C. for $1.55 million. Michael Barmash of Colliers International represented the buyer, which has completed developments in Chinatown and Philadelphia's Loft District, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Jim Gorecki of Fidelity Commercial Real Estate represented the sellers, which included Sine Partners, Conestoga Bank and the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp.

Specifics about the conversion project, such as the number of units planned, have yet to be finalized, according to Barmash. See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
