BALTIMORE—In a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Under Armour Inc. disclosed it has entered an agreement on a 10-year lease with a company controlled by Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank.
The SEC disclosure on Feb. 20 stated that the lease is for 130,000 square feet and that the company will pay $1.1 million for the space. The exact location of the new offices was not disclosed in the filing.
The company says the initiative is to “expand our corporate headquarters" in Locust Point. It also says the 130,000-square-foot space is "near our principal offices in Baltimore," according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
The filing also states that Under Armour plans to spend $290 million in 2015 on the "expansion of our corporate headquarters" in addition to opening retail stores and a North American distribution center. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
