RESTON, VA—Fannie Mae is moving a number of its Virginia employees to Reston from and has reached a least agreement with Brookfield Office Properties for One Reston Crescent.

The agency signed a long-term lease lasetweek for the entire 185,000 square feet building, located 12000 Sunrise Valley Drive, according to a recent report in the Washington Business Journal.

According to that article, an Brookfield executive confirmed only that the firm had inked a leased for the property with a “single, high-quality tenant.” If the story holds, the new lease would allow Fannie Mae to vacate space at Monument IV in Herndon at the end of it's leas next year. It would move into One Reston later this year.

The lease is not related to Fannie Mae's plans to shift its D.C. headquarters to a new 15th Street NW.
