RENO, NV—Lake Washington Partners, which owns, managing and develops properties across the US, has completed the first phase of a 1.5 million-square-foot distribution/warehouse development within Spanish Springs Business Center near Reno.
The new project features several energy-saving components including high-efficiency lighting in parking areas, and fluorescent and motion detector lighting throughout the building will cut energy-usage by up to 75%, said Lake Washington president Jordan Lott.
Lake Washington Partners is also actively marketing a build-to-suit on 30 acres in Spanish Springs. Lott noted the site is ideal for build-to-suit tenants with big box distribution requirements and offers excellent access to Interstate 80 and US Hwy 395 through the adjacent Pyramid Highway corridor.
“Embracing energy-conserving technology makes clear sense for both our tenants and the environment,” said Lott. He said Lake Washington Partners is currently in the process of retrofitting buildings with similar features in its nationwide portfolio, including a newly vacated 622,000 square foot facility located in Sparks, NV.
The Spanish Springs incorporates energy-saving features throughout the new building and parking area. The company's efforts have been spotlighted by the NV Energy Commercial Energy Efficiency Program, which recently awarded Lake Washington Partners $99,489 as part of the utility's Sure Bet incentive program.
The Issaquah WA-based firm's portfolio includes properties for lease or build-to-suit development in multiple markets across the United States.
