PDC RedBuilding Inks Four Tenants

LOS ANGELES—Charles S. Cohen has signed four new leases at his 400,000-square-foot RedBuilding at the Pacific Design Center. Whalerock Industries, Gaumont International Television, AllSaints USA and Criteria Corp. are the tenants to sign leases at the building, which total 65,400 square feet.

“The select tenants in the RedBuilding choose it for the quality of the building, the architecture, the location and the features and amenities of the entire Pacific Design Center Campus,” Cohen, the owner and designer of the building, tells GlobeSt.com. “We are confident that the distinctive quality of the building will create a signature identity for these forward-thinking, creative office tenants.”

Whalerock Industries is relocating its offices from its current location in Santa Monica, while AllSaints is moving its New York offices to the 10^th floor of the building. Gayle Landes and Mike Geller of First Property Realty Corp. represented Whalerock Industries, while Arian Ahmadian of Maddox Retail and Brian Abdi of Bridge Real Estate represented AllSaints. Gaumont International Television and Criteria Corp. will both occupy space on the 15^th floor of the East Tower. Greg Frankovich of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Gaumont, and Michael Shuken of Savills Studley represented Criteria Corp. An in-house team Marc Horowitz and Jeff Lasky represented the RedBuilding.

The property was completed in January 2014, after 40 years in the making, and has reaps the benefits of the PDC's ample onsite amenities, including two Wolfgang Puck restaurants, a fitness center, the silver screen theatre, a conference center and private screening room. The owners are still looking for tenants to fill the remainder of the building. “We've been meeting with many interested tenants but this building is not for everyone,” says Cohen. “Not only do we make an investment in the building, but the tenants have to make an investment too.”
