DENVER—Denver-based real estate company MVG Development, Inc. has joined forces with Confluent Development Services. Operating as Confluent Development, the newly combined company has a half-billion dollars in booked projects across the industrial, office, retail, multifamily and senior housing segments, making it one of the most active private commercial developers based in Colorado.
MVG has a long history in full-service real estate development and specializes in two key areas: retail development and senior housing.
"MVG has tremendous horsepower on the national scene with over 85 projects developed since 2008,” says James Dennis, senior executive. “This new diversified entity will allow us to compete in all key segments of real estate development with real strength."
Confluent Development Services is headed by Marshall Burton and Celeste Tanner, who combined have over 30 years and 8 million square feet of development experience. In discussing the merger, Burton states, "Combining Confluent's reputation and accelerated growth with MVG's
national footprint makes the new firm one of the most nimble development
companies in the nation." Burton will lead Confluent Development's expanded team, currently comprised of 25 real estate and construction professionals.
Confluent Development's advisory team was also recently enhanced by the addition of industry veteran John Shaw to the company's board of directors.
"It's not often in our business that you see two firms with different strengths dovetail so nicely," says Shaw, who has experience with the principals in both firms.
While the combined company's development pipeline has more than doubled, its commitment to performance and quality remains unchanged.
"Confluent Development has numerous build-to-suit clients in the retail and industrial sector, as well as strong partners in our active office and senior housing developments," says Burton. "Our commitment to engage, execute, and excel for these and future customers remains our top priority."
