BETHESDA, MD—Berkadia has expanded its Maryland footprint with the addition of a four-person mortgage banking team in its local office. The four -- J. Tyler Blue, Andrew Coleman, Ted Hermes and Paul Wallace -- have joined Berkadia's Bethesda office as managing directors from Walker & Dunlop.

Blue will direct the Mid-Atlantic capital markets group with a focus on originating debt, equity and investment sales opportunities. Coleman will take the lead running Berkadia's National Hospitality group.

"This move demonstrates our commitment to provide more value for our clients through the addition of personnel and products to our integrated mortgage banking, investment sales and servicing platform" says Justin Wheeler, CEO of Berkadia, in a prepared statement.

Blue served as executive vice president at Walker & Dunlop. Coleman and Hermes as senior vice presidents and Wallace as vice president in the Mortgage Banking and Capital Markets groups. As a group, they provided financing to commercial real estate developers and owners throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with consistent annual originations of well over $1.5 billion.
