WASHINGTON, DC—There have been two executive changes at DC area commercial real estate firms: Tim Zulick has been named managing director in CBRE's Baltimore office and Brian Casey has been tapped to head the Walker & Dunlop's Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets team.
Zulick, who is assuming leadership of CBRE's Baltimore office, will oversee the firm's regional multifamily and industrial service lines. He comes to CBRE from First Potomac Realty Trust, where he was a senior vice president and corporate officer.
Zulick's bona fides include growing the First Potomac portfolio from 1 million to 15.5 million square feet between August 2004 and June 2013 and leading a 12-member leasing team to generate approximately $125 million in annual revenue.
Zulick's departure from the REIT follows the departure earlier this month of Ernie Jarvis, as senior vice president. Like most communities, DC becomes a very small town when talking of the commercial real estate industry and Jarvis' CV is no exception: prior to his move to First Potomac he was with CBRE for several years. Now, according to the Washington Business Journal, he has rejoined The Jarvis Co., which he co-founded with cousin N. William Jarvis in 1999.
Meanwhile, at Walker & Dunlop, SVP Brian Casey has been promoted to head the Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets team. Casey joined Walker & Dunlop two years ago from MetLife. He will continue managing W&D's balance sheet investing activities in his new role, while also managing the financing professionals who work to structure and place debt on office buildings, retail centers, hotels, and multifamily properties throughout the region.
Another change at W&D that we reported earlier this week: Howard Smith, EVP and COO, was promoted to president.
