NEW YORK CITY—Adam Davis, a more than 25-year veteran of the commercial real estate finance industry, has been named to a new position as leader of four of Wells Fargo's structured commercial real estate businesses.

The new post Davis now takes on brings together four separate commercial real estate businesses that are currently held within Wells Fargo Securities' Asset-Backed Finance group and the Wells Fargo Specialized Lending, Servicing and Trust group.

Davis, who joined the company in 2001, will be based in New York City. The four businesses under Davis' leadership will include: Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets & Finance, led by Kara McShane; Corporate Net Lease, led by Matt McCoy; Real Estate Capital Markets Originations, led by Doug Mazer and Commercial Mortgage Servicing, led by Alan Kronovet.

Davis will have dual reporting responsibilities to Ed Blakey, head of Specialized Lending, Servicing and Trust and Jon Weiss, head of Wells Fargo Securities. He will transition into his new role over the coming months as a replacement is found for his previous role, company officials state.

Davis previously served as a senior credit officer in Wholesale Risk, responsible for the credit risk management for the consumer, corporate and mortgage portfolios within the ABF group, and the commercial real estate portfolio within Wholesale Banking at Wells Fargo. Prior to his role in Wholesale Risk, Davis was head of Wells Fargo Commercial Mortgage Origination. In 2009, he took on the additional duties of managing the European and Asian Commercial Real Estate debt and equity team, as well as the Commercial Mortgage Lending Finance team within the Special Situations Group.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Davis held various commercial real estate positions with J.P. Morgan, Caisse Des Depots Group, and Nomura Securities.
