CONROE, TX–Harmony Housing, a nonprofit organization that owns and acquires affordable multifamily housing throughout the country, has acquired Park Village in Conroe.

“Park Village represents the second property that Harmony Housing has purchased in the Houston area in the last six months,” Kevin Deegan, vice president of acquisitions at Harmony Housing Advisors Inc., told GlobeSt.com. “As acquisition advisor to the nonprofit organization, we continue to be very bullish on the Houston economy and the market for affordable multifamily in the MSA and surrounding areas.

The other Houston-area property is Park at Fallbrook.

Harmony Housing's aim is to grow affordable rental housing properties and provide “safe, comfortable and affordable housing across the country.” The organization's proceeds are then reinvested into its property portfolio or distributed to the broader community through charitable giving. Harmony Housing was originally started by Stephen Rosenberg, founder of Greystone & Co., a real estate lending, investment and advisory company.

“As part of our mission, Harmony Housing continues to seek opportunities to acquire and preserve the high-quality affordable housing that is in such high demand in Texas and across the country,” Deegan says.
