WASHINGTON, DC—The scaffolds are up and work has begun on a multi-million dollar renovation of the 1800 K St. office building.

Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management's renovation of the 217,000-square foot property will include a floor-to-ceiling glass façade along both the K Street and 18th Street frontages as well as the interior light-well. There will also be 14 new windows along the southern façade.

There will also be an exterior LED display that will be act as a combo visual art-informational display-venue for tenant signage and new main lobby video wall display that will be a functional art piece-building directory-display for weather, traffic and news.

Other additions include a tenant-only fitness center, a new rooftop terrace, new common areas and modernized elevator cabs and an upgraded HVAC system

CBRE announced the planned renovation at the property in September 2014, valuing the renovation cost at $40 million.
