AUSTIN—The Domain is always a main part of any discussion about Austin development.
Now, you can add the eastern quadrant of the MSA to the conversation.
In the final panel at RealShare Austin, “Development: Downtown, The Domain & Eastern Expansion,” on Tuesday, participants pointed east—east of Interstate 35, to Airport Boulevard and beyond, said some, to where development is headed.
Many ceded that it has all been aided by the opening of major thoroughfares like Texas State Highway 130 in 2006. And the small towns once less accessible, noted Eric Perardi, MVP managing partner at Hat Trick Development, are now thirsting for amenities—such as healthcare—that the big city has.
Led by moderator Travis Waldrop, CCIM, vice president of Carr Development, the panel also included Brandon Easterling, managing director of Alliance Residential; Scott Flack, president, Live Oak-Gottesman; Tim Hendricks, senior vice president, Cousins Properties; Brian Shniderson, development partner at World Class Capital Group; and Jake Ragusa Jr., senior vice president/partner, KDC.
