VIRGINIA BEACH, VA—Locally-based Armada Hoffler Construction Co. has been named general contractor for a $100-millon mixed-use project to be built here.
The project calls for the construction of two hotels at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Armada Hoffler Construction, a division of Armada Hoffler Properties, will build 300 rooms, a parking garage and retail space.
The project is a third-party fee construction project and will not be owned by Armada Hoffler Properties, the company states in an announcement.
The company expects construction to be in full swing by the second half of 2015. Construction is projected to be completed in the spring of 2017.
