NEW YORK CITY—Legal news provider Law360 is expanding its New York City operations, taking 46,000 square feet of space at 111 W. 19th St.

Law360, a LexisNexis company, signed a 10-year lease at the building, according to the Kaufman Organization, which brokered the deal on behalf of the building owner—19th Street Associates LLC. The subscription news service is relocating from two Union Square office locations at 860 Broadway and 200 Park Ave. South and will be occupying two full floors at Kaufman's eight-story building in Chelsea. Law360's space can accommodate as many as 300 employees.

“Law360 has grown into a premier breaking legal news service and needed a location in which it could continue to thrive, expand and succeed. As such, we identified 111 West 19th St. because it offered two expansive full-floor units, each with sprawling layouts that foster collaboration amongst our rapidly growing staff,” says Scott Roberts, general manager at Law360.

The lease transaction brings the building to 100% leased. Steven Kaufman, president, Barbara Raskob and Yvonne Chang of the Kaufman Organization represented the landlord in the deal. Paul Ippolito of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Law360 in the transaction. Kaufman states that asking rents for the 10-year lease were in the mid-$60s per-square-foot range.

“111 West 19th St. has become an increasingly popular destination for forward-thinking firms and its diverse tenant roster featuring Regus, the Barbarian Group, Kleinfeld Bridal and now Law360, reflects how the building has become one of the premier locations for companies in search of full-floor spaces,” says Kaufman.
