NEW YORK CITY—Real estate investment services firm Eastern Consolidated reports it has appointed Mark Schnurman to principal. Schnurman, who currently serves as the company's chief sales officer, will now have input and contribute to Eastern Consolidated's overall strategy and direction, company officials say.
He joined New York City-based Eastern in 2013 and since then has restructured the firm's sales recruitment, training, and development program, working in conjunction with Eastern President Daun Paris. The new program has helped nearly double the size of Eastern's brokerage team and accelerate the growth of the firm's revenues, the company reports. Schnurman continues to actively recruit additional brokers to the firm.
“Mark is one of the best sales managers in the industry,” Paris says. “He has remarkable clarity of thought and decisiveness, has a great eye for talent, and is quickly developing our new crop of brokers into future superstars.”
Schnurman previously held senior sales management and training positions with Morgan Stanley, GFI Capital Resources, and Wachovia Securities. He holds a J.D. from the Ohio State College of Law and a B.A. in Labor Studies from Penn State University. He is a faculty member at Penn State's World Campus, where he teaches graduate level Human Resources courses and is a member of the Penn State University Labor Studies and Employee Relations Board.
