LOS ANGELES—Planet Home Living is well underway on PRISM, a 15-home community in Eagle Rock, and is on schedule to open in September 2015. The community of single-family homes, which be priced in the $600,000 range, was designed by KTGY Architecture + Planning in a sleek and modern design.

“PRISM provides for-sale housing that meets Los Angeles' Small Lot Design guidelines on a challenging deep and narrower infill site within the desirable Eagle Rock neighborhood,” David French, COO and president of Planet Home Living, tells GlobeSt.com. “PRISM is located in an established residential block with a mix of housing types, just one block away from shopping, dining and other great amenities found along Eagle Rock Blvd.”

Located at 4359 Toland Way in Eagle Rock, the homes will range in size from 1,540 square feet to 1,704 square feet with two or three bedrooms. Each home will have an attached garage as well as large open living areas and expansive kitchens. Additionally, all of the homes will have a flex-suite on the ground floor for guests. “The contemporary styling on the exterior elevation, mixes lapped siding and exterior plaster to attract a more sophisticated eye and provide a unique living experience,” Alan Scales, AIA, a principal at KTGY, tells GlobeSt.com. The floor plans also offer ample natural light.

Construction on the property is well underway, and the developer is on-schedule to deliver the first model by September 2015.

There has been an uptick in single-family home construction recently, and Woodbridge Pacific Group recently secured $200 million from its equity partner to build larger home communities with 250-400 homes. In a recent interview with the developer, WPG said that the expanded development plans is due to millennials entering the home market as well as an increase in jobs.
