LOS ANGELES—TMC Financing, a commercial real estate lender, has strategically expanded its SoCal business with the hiring of Diana Hallal and Christina Johnson. Hallal will serve as SVP of business development, focusing on acquiring commercial loans, while Johnson will provide support as a business development associate and junior loan officer.
“Collectively, their experience and success make Diana and Christina the right fit for TMC,” Rich Grant, EVP at TMC Financing, tells GlobeSt.com. “Diana was a top producer at Union Bank and has partnered with Jennifer Davis as the first mortgage lender on TMC loans for a number of years. Diana is already well known in the area by our broker and lender partners and she has built a strong working relationship with Christina while at Union that will help them transition quickly.”
Hallal joins TMC from Union Bank, where she served as director of business banking. She earned the number one real estate loan producer position for four consecutive years. Her extensive resume also includes tenures at Wells Fargo and Bank of America. She and Johnson have been working together for 18 years, after meeting at Bank of America. The duo will work with TMC lending team Jennifer Davis and Jennine Gilmer.
“Southern California is a very large and important market for us, and we have been looking to expand our presence in this market. More than market conditions, this is more about the right team who is the right fit for TMC,” says Grant. “A cohesive team allows us to expand our focus in the region as a provider of commercial real estate financing solutions. They will be building relationships with real estate brokers, lenders and other financial intermediaries, including mortgage brokers and CPAs to help business owners find financing that meets their needs.”
TMC Financing's Barbara Morrison recently spoke at RealShare Investment and Finance about the capital stack. On the panel, she said that SBA is fairly active in hospitality lending and has become the number-one 504 lender in hospitality in the country.
