ST. LOUIS— Koch Development Co. has just hired Colliers International to manage a multi-state portfolio consisting of over one million square feet of office, industrial and retail property located throughout MO, IL, NC, SC and AL. Included in this assignment is Koch's 222 Building, a 127,000 square foot, class A office building located at 222 S. Central in Clayton, a suburb of St. Louis.

Rena Boyer, vice president of real estate management services, St. Louis, leads the KDC property management team, and the entire team is housed within the Colliers St. Louis office, the company tells GlobeSt.com. The deal is a big one for Colliers St. Louis. With the addition of KDC's portfolio, it now cares for over three million square feet of commercial property, making it one of the largest property management firms in the region. Globally, the Colliers International real estate management platform has over 1.7 billion square feet under management.

“Our commitment is to ensure that KDC achieves – if not exceeds – its portfolio goals on the strength of Colliers' worldwide platform leveraged with the hands-on experience of a veteran property management team,” says Bob Guimbarda, managing principal of Colliers St. Louis. “We are thrilled to expand our reach in the St. Louis market and will continue to strategically grow our services locally.”

Colliers St. Louis has added five new employees to the local property management team due to the KDC assignment. Rod Schultz and Lindsey Finger were recently hired for property management, Amie Richter was brought on for accounting services and Mike Frey and Larry Meyer are new maintenance engineers.

“It's always a good day when we bring new people onto the platform,” says Boyer. “These individuals bring a vast knowledge of the KDC properties and years of experience caring for multiple property types.”

The portfolio includes twelve multi-tenant properties totaling about 542,000 square feet, Colliers tells GlobeSt.com. Five single tenant properties with about 467,000 square feet round out the portfolio. Major tenants include: CVS, Shop N' Save, Office Max, Petco, Five Guys and Shoe Carnival. In addition to the 222 Building, the portfolio has about 467,000 square feet of industrial space and about 415,000 square feet of retail, including Water Tower Place, Water Tower Shoppes, Market Place, Yorkshire Village, Wood River Plaza in the St. Louis metro area.
