HARTFORD, CT—Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers LLC said Monday it had made two senior appointments in the US and Europe as part of its continued build-out of its global platform. Joy Winterfield joins as managing director of global portfolio and will also form part of Cornerstone's global executive team. Albert Yang joins as managing director and head of business development—Europe.
Winterfield will be based in Chicago, while Yang is based in London. Both hires are effective in September.
Winterfield brings more than 25 years' experience to Cornerstone, focused mainly on the private equity and real estate investment industries. She joins the firm after eight years at Allstate Investments LLC, serving most recently as director of global private equity real estate. In that capacity, she led strategy development and investment for the growth of a portfolio of private equity real estate funds.
Yang joins Cornerstone after four years at JP Morgan Asset Management, where he served as executive director of global real assets, responsible for capital raising, investor relations and business development for institutional investors in the EMEA region. Over a career spanning more than 14 years, Yang has also held positions at Henderson Global Investors, Schroder Property Investment Management and Deutsche Property Asset Management.
