RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ—Samsung SDS has expanded its office space in Ridgefield Park threefold, signing a five-year lease with KABR Group for 54,000 square feet of office space at 100 Challenger Road at Overpeck Corporate Centre. The electronics firm previously leased 17,000 square feet.

The Samsung SDS expansion, as well as space leased by Samsung Electronics America and Samsung Techwin, raises Samsung's overall presence in Ridgefield Park to 300,000 square feet.

Dan Lessing, principal at DSR Group represented KABR Group and A. Paul March, managing director of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, represented Samsung.

Samsung's move into 100 Challenger comes after a dramatic renovation of the 150,000 square foot commercial office building.  KABR's $1 million capital improvement program includes a new café, a fully-equipped gym, beautifully remodeled main lobby, shared conference room in lobby and newly resurfaced parking areas, which include charging stations for environmentally friendly electric cars.  As part of the agreement, Samsung will have signage rights to the building that overlooks the New Jersey Turnpike connection.

The eight-story 100 Challenger Road, which is also the corporate headquarters of KABR, is at the Exit 68 ramp from I-95 that serves as the entrance to Overpeck Corporate Centre. The complex recently got new roads and sidewalks from Bergen County.  The Centre is adjacent to the 370-acre Overpeck County Park, which just received a $10 million makeover including tennis and basketball courts, horseback riding, ball fields, boat launch, walking and riding path.
