ATLANTA—Rosemont Realty just picked CBRE to spearhead leasing efforts for its 3585 Engineering Drive building. The office building sits in Atlanta's Peachtree Corners submarket.

CBRE's Heather Lamb and Peter McGuone will lead the leasing effort. The goal is to backfill a 100,000 square foot vacancy.

“The Peachtree Corners office market has historically seen several 50 to 100,000 users each year enter the market and with the tightness in Central Perimeter, Peachtree Corners is in a good position to have a large block like this not sit for long,” Lamb tells GlobeSt.com. “This will be an attractive building for any 100k user looking to control their own real estate, making it a true headquarters building with lake views and access to quality area amenities.” 

The building's lone tenant will vacate the 3585 Engineering Drive building  later this month. This vacancy is the largest class A contiguous block available in Peachtree Corners. The office building is currently undergoing renovations.

“Peachtree Corners has seen a surge in activity recently with several new deals coming to the market including Comcast and Harlem Globetrotters as well as new retailers like Sprouts and Earth Fare,” says Lamb. “We expect to see even more announcements of new tenants to the area before the end of 2015.”

The City of Peachtree Corners is working to attract and retain top talent by partnering with Georgia Tech, creating housing options for Millennials and improving transportation throughout the city. The area offers the second lowest unemployment rate in Georgia, according to Mayor Mike Mason. Peachtree Corners is growing, evidenced through the continued increase in building permits and the decrease in office and retail vacancies.

“This CBRE team has completed more than 1.8 million square feet of transactions in Peachtree Corners,” says Tina Renee McCall, Rosemont Realty's senior vice president for asset management in the Eastern region. “With their market knowledge, business and community connections, and deep understanding of the culture here, we are confident that Heather and Peter will be able to find a large tenant for this vacancy.”

As part of the assignment for Rosemont, the CBRE leasing team was also tapped to handle leasing for Corners Parkway, a multi-tenant, 111,730 square foot class A building. That building is located at 6625 The Corners Parkway Northwest.
