WASHINGTON, DC—A coveted law firm tenant has made its move after analyzing the expected slew of pitches from local buildings. Ropes & Gray LLP is moving to 2099 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, to occupy more than 60,000 square feet.

The firm has signed a 15-year lease with landlord Paramount Group. It is moving from 700 12th St., where it had been located for 12 years.

Newmark Grubb Knight Frank's Larry Bank and Bill Zonghetti represented the tenant. Paramount Group was represented by its leasing director Matthew Gannon and JLL's Amy Bowser and Trip Howell.

One of DC's trophy offices, 2099 Pennsylvania Ave., NW is a 208,636-square foot, 12-story office designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners.

Bank said that landlords had been very aggressive as they tried to woo Ropes & Gray.
