HOUSTON--Peli Peli Kitchen, a new fast-casual concept focusing on modern South African cuisine, has signed a lease in the Gateway at Spring Valley project developed by Houston-based Ersa Grae Corp., according to CBRE.
Peli Peli Kitchen will occupy a 3,535-square-foot end-cap space located at the northeast corner of Campbell Road and Interstate 10 at 9090 Katy Freeway and is slated to open by spring 2016.
Eric Lestin, senior vice president, and Kyle Golding, associate with CBRE's Houston office, represented Peli Peli in the site selection and lease transaction.
“Peli Peli is expanding in Houston by looking at the various submarkets and their demographic makeup,” Lestin told GlobeSt.com. “By opening Peli Peli Kitchen locations in areas with high population density, Peli Peli is making their unique South African cuisine available to all Houston-residents.”
Peli Peli Kitchen joins its sister restaurant Peli Peli, which has locations in the Vintage Park Shopping Center and The Galleria. The restaurant's owners are currently seeking additional locations for both concepts in downtown Houston, Katy and The Woodlands, along with potential locations in Austin and Dallas.
