NEW YORK CITY—Attorney David Rubenstein, who has more than 20 years experience in the real estate industry, has joined Cole Schotz's New York City office as a member of the law firm's real estate department.
Rubenstein, a transactional attorney, joined the firm effective on Aug. 17. He previously served as a partner with the law firm Levitt & Boccio.
“David possesses a unique understanding of the core business needs of his clients,” says Richard W. Abramson, co-chairman the firm's real estate department. “His breadth of knowledge and ability to navigate complex negotiations will be an incredible asset to the firm and the clients we serve.”
Rubenstein has represented developers, landlords, tenants, entrepreneurs, investors and more in his nationwide practice. He also advises clients on a variety of real estate related matters, including shopping centers, office and residential development, sales, acquisitions and leasing, according to Cole Schotz. He also has extensive experience in real estate matters relating to restaurants, bars and nightclubs, including signature restaurants of several of the world's top chefs.
In addition to its New York City office, Cole Schotz also has operations in Hackensack, NJ, Wilmington, DE, Baltimore and Dallas. The firm represents a variety of entities including private equity firms, hedge funds, closely held businesses, Fortune 500 companies, as well as select individuals. Founded in 1928, the firm has grown to more than130 attorneys who work in 11 primary areas of practice: bankruptcy and corporate restructuring, construction services, corporate, finance and business transactions, employment law, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, real estate special opportunities, tax, trusts and estates and white collar defense and investigations.
