HOUSTON—Momentum Indoor Climbing is expanding into the Houston market.
Houston-based Baker Katz has completed a 3.95-acre land acquisition in Katy on behalf of the climbing concern.
“Momentum Indoor Climbing is a unique, experiential attraction that will resonate with the active population in the Houston area,” Baker Katz broker Ben Brown, who represented the tenant, told GlobeSt.com. “We're thrilled to help bring this new-to-market exercise concept to Houston, and we're confident Momentum Indoor Climbing will thrive here.”
The property is located at the intersection of Kingsland Boulevard and Katy Mills Parkway. The 36,000-square-foot facility will feature 50-foot climbing walls and fitness and yoga areas.
Simpkins Group senior vice president William Stacy represented the seller. The opening is slated for next summer.
“The fast-growing city of Houston is the perfect place for Momentum to introduce climbing to an active population,” says Momentum Indoor Climbing co-founder Jeff Pederson. “We are sure that Houstonians will love this exciting new form of recreation with incredible fitness benefits.”
