LOS ANGELES—Rob Hannan has joined CBRE's Western US institutional investment team, led by vice chairman Kevin Shannon, as SVP, GlobeSt.com reports exclusively. Based in the firm's South Bay office, Hannan will help the team achieve its goal to be north of $6 billion in sales volume this year.

“We hope to be north of $6 billion this year, and with three months left in the year, we are on track,” Shannon tells GlobeSt.com. “That is a reflection of the strong market, and we are fortunate to be blessed with loyal clients. This is a time when investment sales teams should be active. Rob was a perfect fit in terms of culture and personality, and his expertise and knowledge of West Coast markets is really invaluable for what we do. He is a natural broker.”

This move is actually a return for Hannan, who worked on Shannon's team at CBRE five years ago. He left CBRE for Kennedy Wilson, where he served as the managing director of commercial investments. Hannan specializes in the acquisition of value-add assets in the Western US, and during his prior time at CBRE, he participated in $7 billion in transactions. “I worked with Kevin and his team for six years, so in terms of cultural and personality, it was not exactly a venture into the unknown. It was a known entity and one that I have a great deal of respect for,” Hannan tells GlobeSt.com. “From the business point of view, the decision to come back was frankly a decision to be on this side of the business rather than the principal side, which is where I was with Kennedy Wilson.” His major transactions include 9301 Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills, 150 and 151 El Camino in Beverly Hills, 16501 Ventura Blvd. in Encino, Marina View in Marina Del Rey and Stadium Gateway in Anaheim.

Hannan will leverage his 17 years of commercial real estateexperience to help the team achieve its $6 billion goal. “I want to help expand the team's tremendous capital markets momentum,” says Hannan.

Shannon has also added associate Danielle Russo and client services coordinator Danielle Mooney to the team, which now has 15 members.
