DALLAS--Palladium USA International has contracted to purchase 2.1 acres of land in Plano's Legacy West to build a 30-story luxury high-rise.
The 312-unit tower will be located at the southwest corner of the future Columbus Avenue and Windrose Avenue, just to the north of the existing Headquarters Drive and adjacent to the Liberty Mutual Insurance complex under construction.
“Collin County is the epicenter of exponential growth in North Texas and the country,” Tom Huth, president and CEO of Palladium USA, told GlobeSt.com. “We are confident that this luxury high-rise will have strong appeal to the thousands of individuals and families moving into Plano, who have expectations for high-end living and world-class amenities.”
According to Huth, Palladium USA has been working with the master Legacy West developer, Fehmi Karahan, for several months in the architectural design of the residential high-rise.
The eight-level structured parking garage will sit under the residential tower and contain approximately 500 parking spaces. The gross building area will exceed 410,000 square feet.
The high-rise will feature amenities such as the 9,000-square-foot leasing/lobby center on the ground floor, which will contain a bike storage room with maintenance and wash area to accommodate 60 bicycles, seven car charging stations, pet washing and grooming room, conference room and business lounge. At the 9th floor amenity deck there will be a 2,300-square-foot fitness center, 3,800-square-foot spa with massage room, yoga/virtual fitness room, relaxation lounge, steam room, dry sauna room, men's and women's locker rooms, and a 3,800-square-foot bar/lounge with private TV cabana, two conference rooms, TV lounge, private poker room and catering kitchen.
Palladium USA is anticipating a second quarter 2016 construction start with construction taking 24-30 months. Although the rental pricing for the units has not yet been determined at this early stage, units will range from 616 square feet to more than 6,000 square feet for the top penthouse.
