HOUSTON—The Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria has officially opened its doors to guests.

The 14-story hotel, developed and owned by Atlanta-based Songy Highroads LLC, designed by Gensler and managed by Aimbridge Hospitality, is situated next to The Galleria.

Featuring 325 guestrooms, including 20 suites, the hotel has more than 11,000 square feet of meeting and conference space, a heated pool, a 24-hour access fitness center, two full-service restaurants and a lounge.

“Whether guests are staying for business or relaxation, our hotel puts everything right at their fingertips,” Todd Nocerini, chief operating officer of Songy Highroads, told GlobeSt.com. “With two in-hotel restaurants offering locally sourced food and access to the district's corporate offices and a plethora of high-end shops, Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria aims to provide an enjoyable visit for each and every traveler.”

Songy Highroads began construction on the hotel in December 2013. Located at 2626 Sage Road, it is part of the 7.6-acre, mixed-use Galleria Plaza development that includes multiple high-end retail and specialty stores and two office towers.

Songy Highroads is also developing a Hyatt Place adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria. Currently under construction, the 156-room select-service hotel is slated to open in early 2016.
