BOSTON—Cresa, following through on what brokerage firm executives have described as an "aggressive" but "thoughtful" global expansion initiative, has expanded its operations to Australia.
Cresa reports it has opened Cresa Australia, which has offices in Perth and Sydney. Cresa Australia is the former LPC Australia, a corporate real estate advisory firm that exclusively represents tenants and other space occupiers across the entire country. The firm, which launched operations in 1994, provides transaction management, lease administration and fit-out project delivery services. In Australia, Cresa Australia will be known as LPC Cresa.
Cresa's impressive global expansion initiative in 2015 has included global office openings in Budapest, Hungary, which was announced in August, as well as in Argentina, Hong Kong, the Netherlands and Belgium. Bill Goade, a Cresa managing principal, tells Globest.com that the firm is "aggressively pursuing further global expansion" and notes that it is targeting Paris in the first quarter of 2016, to be followed by two additional offices in Europe and two in Asia.
Speaking of its expansion to Australia, Cresa CEO Richard Rhodes says, "This is one of Cresa's most significant international expansions to date. Cresa Australia has a deep and diverse client roster and is the largest, most well established, independent tenant advisory firm in Australia. They founded the tenant-rep model in Australia, so this is a great opportunity for us to partner with like-minded professionals and further our objective, conflict-free, integrated services model."
Cresa Australia's client base includes banking/financial services, legal, insurance, information technology, government and tourism/travel. Rhodes notes that joining forces with LPC Austrialia will allow Cresa to expand its service lines into new sectors such as oil and gas.
The brokerage's Australian offices join the firm's other international locations in more than 75 markets, including Canada, in addition to more than 60 offices in the United States.
