BRIDGEWATER, NJ—Hasbrouck Heights-based DMR Architects is helping design two expansion projects for Hunterdon Healthcare as the healthcare provider extends its coverage area into Somerset and Warren Counties.

In Bridgewater, DMR has provided extensive professional services for the renovation of a former 55,000 square-foot, three-story, Bank of America building at 1125 Route 22.  The building refit will accommodate medical offices for specialists from Hunterdon Healthcare in cardiology (office practice, cardiac testing and vascular lab), ambulatory surgical center, imaging center, urology/breast, ophthalmology, pulmonary, gastroenterology, endocrinology and other sub-specialties.   Atlantic Health System, through an alliance with Hunterdon Healthcare, will also have specialists in the new location.

Hunterdon Healthcare will also act as the master tenant for 45,000 square feet of office space reserved for doctors' offices that may or may not be affiliated with the hospital systems.

"These new facilities will allow us to expand into Somerset County and improve care options to patients," says Robert Wise, president and CEO of Hunterdon Healthcare. "This an exciting time in healthcare and we continue to make investments that put us at the forefront of the industry."

"Excellent facilities are at the heart of exceptional healthcare strategies, and Hunterdon Healthcare has given us the inspiration and resources to design high-performing, patient-friendly centers," says Lloyd Rosenberg, AIA, president and CEO of DMR Architects.  "In addition to redesigned spaces at the hospital's Flemington location, we are honored to continue our partnership with these two assignments."

Construction will begin in summer 2016 on the DMR-designed interiors of a 13,000 square foot new office building in Washington, Warren County, NJ, for Hunterdon Healthcare's family practice, OT/PT and behavioral health.

DMR Architects has done extensive work creating and refitting spaces for hospitals including several current projects with the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital System, and completed projects for Hoboken University Medical Center, Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, and Hackensack University Medical Center.
