LOS ANGELES—Lift-style parking lots, which stack cars over one another, are making a splash in the Los Angeles market with the arrival of CityLift. While the technology has been used on the East Coast for years, our car-centric city has only recently seen the impact of compacted parking structures. While the obvious benefit is saving space, the structures are also as much as 80% more cost effective than conventional parking structures, according to CityLift CEO Scott Gable.
