COLUMBUS—Officials from Nationwide Realty Investors say that construction will soon begin on a retail-anchored mixed-use building at the north end of their 1.2-million-square-foot Grandview Yard project.
The new 4-story Manchester building, located on Yard St. adjacent to the new Nationwide campus, will have more than 14,000-square-feet of first floor restaurant and specialty retail space, with 123 residential units on the upper floors.
“The integration of great amenities remains a priority for our growing base of residents and office tenants, including the nearly 3,000 Nationwide associates we are welcoming to Grandview Yard yet this year,” says Brian J. Ellis, president and chief operating officer of Columbus-based Nationwide Realty Investors.
This announcement comes on the heels of the first phase of Nationwide employees moving into the recently completed four-story, 320,000-square-foot class A office building located at 1000 Yard St. This is the first office building completed by Nationwide in the 500,000-square-foot Nationwide campus. The company will complete a second building later this year.
This summer Nationwide will also put the finishing touches on a 135-room Courtyard by Marriott and The Grand Event Center, a 13,000-square-foot event and conference center.
